PE Sports Report 29/1/25
A great Wednesday for girls sport at BGS, with our Year 9 footballers in action against Blackheath High and our GCSE Netballers taking on Chislehurst & Sidcup.
Our footballers were narrowly beaten 4-2 whilst our GCSE team secured a 21-9 win.
Year 7 Badminton club started on Friday with lots of keen students arriving early to play!
The club runs on Friday week B from 7.45-8.15- all Year 7 students welcome! Well done all!
Ms Leffen, PE Department
Four seasons in one, for the girls' football U14 Kent Cup game against Cleeve Park. Everything was against us, from mass illness to hailstones, delays in play due to thunder, but these girls worked together to find replacements and were determined to play this game.
Well done to all for your commitment and fantastic attitude despite all the dramas. It was a pleasure to take this team… apologies for the state of the muddy kit as modelled by Juliet our GK today, who also received opposition player.
Great work - the most uncompetitive, competitive game I’ve seen!
Mrs Kemp, PE Department
Well done to our athletes who took part in the Kent Cross Country Championships in Central Park, Dartford on Jan 18th. Harry and Zachary (Year 7), Caitlin (Year 8) and Lucas (Year 10) were selected to the Bexley team.
