Business Management
As Spike Milligan once said, ‘To open a business is easy; to keep it open is very difficult’.
Business Management seeks to equip budding entrepreneurs and management professionals with the tools, not just to keep a business running, but to maximise profits while doing so. Business Management forms part of the study of Individuals and Societies and is offered at both Higher and Standard level.
HIGHER AND STANDARD LEVEL
The syllabus consists of 6 compulsory modules:

And the Internal Assessment:
The internal assessment is a research project that requires you to apply appropriate business management tools and theories to a real organisational issue or problem using a conceptual lens. The four key concepts this could relate to include:

As a Department we fully support the aims and ethos of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. In particular, we believe that the aims of the Business Management course at Bexley Grammar are to:

SUBJECT REQUIREMENT
Students do not need to have studied Business Studies at GCSE to study International Baccalaureate Business Management at either Standard or Higher level.
