    Year 7 Netball Tournament

A testament to their dedication to training this year, not one, not two, but three Year 7 teams entered into the borough netball tournament against 13 teams. Hosted at our home ground, and in freezing conditions, there were smiles all round as our BGS 1 Team achieved a respectable 4th place. Well done ladies and thank you to our sports prefects Sophie, Beth and Mateja for their team management on the day.

    Year 8 Netball

The Year 8s headed to Chis and Sid in what can only be described as arctic conditions. The girls were a pleasure to take; polite, hard-working and great ambassadors for BGS. A great result, placed them 3rd and 5th overall. Well done all!

There's plenty more netball to look forward to over the next few weeks.

    Year 10 Netball

A great win for our Year 10 teams against St Matthew’s on Wednesday night. With some Year 9s helping out, both teams played some excellent netball. The 'A Team' won 17-4, whilst the 'B Team' secured a 14-9 win. Defensively, we marked our players through court, creating opportunities for interceptions whilst our attack brought the ball through court with speed and precision. A huge well done to the shooters for fantastic shooting.

Player of the match went to Lisa and Ariana.

    Well done all!

    Year 7 Rugby

A first game win! Well done to the Year 7 Rugby Team, who beat Beths 20–15 thanks to tries from Jean-Andre, Ryan and Kevin (2). For 15 of the 16 player squad, it was their first ever rugby match.

    Congratulations and well done!

    Year 10 Rugby

A tough defeat for the Year 10 rugby team away at Bennett Memorial on Wednesday. The boys scored a couple of great tries and fought hard, but it wasn’t their day.

    Girls' Football

The U13 girls were back in action on the last day of term for a friendly game against St Catherine's to help learn the offside rule. It was brilliant to see them learning the ropes, grabbing the flag and putting it into practice. Practice makes perfect! Hopefully, we will have some more friendlies to look forward to this year.

    Football

A brave and battling performance from our Year 7 football squad in the North Kent Cup. We lost to Welling School 2-0 in a very entertaining match. Well done to all involved and congratulations to those players representing BGS for the first time.
