Well done - The Future Cheer Competition!
On Sunday 5th May, I had the honour of being able to go to the Future Cheer Competition in Milton Keynes. As soon as I entered the arena, I felt a sudden chill, not from the crispy 6am air, but a chill of excitement. Seeing the other schools with their colour-coordinated uniforms was intimidating. However, my aim was not to drown in the pressure, but to have a nice time and enjoy the experience, and I surely did.
After all the performances, there was a moment when people started to dance to songs they played on the speakers. This escalated into a massive dance circle where people were showing off their best moves and, before I knew it, I was in the middle of this circle showing off some of mine. When I got up, I saw the shock on everyone’s faces and I just couldn't help but smile.
Then the awards were announced and we came 6th! It may not seem that high, but for our first ever time, I thought it was excellent!
This was an amazing experience, and I'm sure everyone else on the trip would agree. I will always remember this day and the amazing teacher who made all this possible. Thank you, Miss Mani.
