October half-term PE news update

Year 7 Rugby

The year 7 rugby team had their first game, and their first win, on Wednesday, beating Bexleyheath Academy 25-15. The boys showed lots of promise, and have lots of things to work on for their next games.

Well done!

Mr Lines, Head of PE

Year 7 netball - a round up of the term!

A busy term with the Year 7 netballers, experiencing fixtures against other schools whilst learning the game. With well-attended weekly training sessions, fantastic commitment from the students and more games to look forward to next term.

Good home crowd support and great help from the Year 9 girls working towards their CAS hours.

Year 7 v Trinity
The Year 7 v Trinity match followed after training, narrowly avoiding a downpour! With another two teams in action, learning the rules of the game and watching their confidence grow.  It's lovely to see excellent sportsmanship from both teams.

Players of this term go to Ziva and Amayah for their superb defensive skills in the semicircle as GK and GD. Congratulations ladies!

U14 Bexley District Football team

This must be a Bexley Grammar School record with these superstars representing the U14 Bexley Football District. An impressive and talented squad, I was lucky enough to catch the team in action at the weekend.

Well done to: Aris, Jack M, Jack B, Ethan, Seb M, Seb S, Daniel and Samraat. Unfortunately, Yannis and Josh were unable to play. A busy weekend of football for these boys! Congratulations to everyone.

Thank you to the manager, Mr Matthews, for dedicating his time to coaching this lovely group of students.
