As a Year group, Year 8 was given the prestigious opportunity of partnering with the fantastic First Give program, a charity that works with supporters and partner schools to inspire young people to make a positive change in society. As a collective, we raised not only money but also awareness through ‘layouts’ and bake sales, hide and seek and movies and raffle tickets with more information about our charities on the back.  We presented all of our hard work on the First Give presentation evening. With all the presenting groups primed and ready to win the £1000 for their chosen charity.

It was clear from the start that only one group would come out as champion, 8NMG, the form group who were supporting the charity ellenor. Even though winning the £1000 was an amazing achievement, as a year group, we had already raised over £1000! I hope to get involved in more activities like this and will continue to support the charity that my class was supporting, ellenor!
