Peer Mentors
During your time here at Bexley Grammar School, you are likely to experience some challenges that you need additional support with. There are a range of people here in school that you can talk to, including your tutor, Mrs Belton Owen and Ms Orchard. We also have a dedicated team of Peer Mentors. These Sixth Form students have been trained to help you overcome problems you may have and help you become more confident at problem-solving.
Each tutor group has 2-3 Peer Mentors assigned to them. The role of a Peer Mentor is to help you learn to navigate your way through school, as you may feel more comfortable talking with a peer rather than a teacher/tutor about something that is worrying you. The Peer Mentors will be with your tutor group once a week, but if you need support at any other time, you can arrange to meet with them.
